Job summary

Cytiva is seeking a Support Scientist I to provide superior scientific support to customers using Cytiva products in the discovery journey. The role is remote with reporting to the Senior Manager, Scientific Support, Marlborough, MA.

Responsibilities include technical assistance, training delivery, and identifying sales opportunities. Requires an advanced life sciences degree and 3+ years lab experience with Cytiva AKTA systems.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences or related field (Masters/PhD preferred).
• Minimum 3 years laboratory experience with Cytiva Life Sciences equipment for Chromatography (AKTA).
• Working knowledge of AKTA instrument, Unicorn software, chromatography resins and purification methods.
• Travel requirements: 5% to Marlborough, MA; monthly local travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-sale technical assistance via phone, webchat, and email.
• Participate in product training and maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and support literature.
• Maintain accurate, complete, up-to-date information on customer inquiries and process complaints in accordance with regulations.
• Deliver trainings and presentations remotely or in person; participate in field and lab activities, trade shows and system installations.
• Identify opportunities to convert technical inquiries into new or developed sales possibilities (lead generation, up- and cross-selling).
