Job summary

Cytiva is seeking a Support Scientist I to provide technical support to customers using Cytiva products in their discovery journey. The role is remote with a base in Marlborough, MA and reports to the Senior Manager, Scientific Support.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-sale support, training delivery, and identifying opportunities for sales growth while maintaining regulatory-compliant processes. Candidates should have 3+ years lab experience with AKTA systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field; Masters/PhD preferred.
• 3+ years lab experience with Cytiva Life Sciences chromatography equipment (AKTA).
• Working knowledge of AKTA, Unicorn software, chromatography resins, and purification methods.
• 5% travel to Marlborough, MA; monthly local travel with regional colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-sale technical assistance via phone, webchat, and email.
• Participate in product training to maintain knowledge of all required Cytiva products.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date information on inquiries and handle complaints per regulations.
• Deliver trainings remotely or face-to-face; assist in field activities and system installations.
• Identify opportunities to convert inquiries into sales opportunities (lead generation).
