Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator to join our Procurement team in a role that can be hybrid from Herndon, VA or remote across the U.S. You will lead negotiations, prepare RFPs, and manage subcontracts from award to closeout on medium-to-high complexity programs.

The successful candidate will bring 8+ years in federal contracting, strong FAR/DFAR knowledge, and excellent communication to support pricing, proposals, and supplier management in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• Experience in US government procurement, preferably with a peer prime contractor supporting large labor subcontracts.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a federal contracting environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of federal contracting requirements (FAR/ DFAR) and contract law.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a project team environment, ensuring schedules for pricing/proposal support and subcontract/purchase order awards are met.
• Provide effective subcontractor/supplier management ensuring compliance with negotiated price, terms, and delivery schedule.
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous and rapidly changing priorities and meet schedules.
• Proven problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontract negotiations concerning price, terms, and delivery schedule.
• Develop competitive and sole source RFPs for federal services and products of medium to high complexity.
• Award subcontracts of high complexity and document actions per compliance standards.
• Manage subcontractor performance and communicate issues promptly.
• Close out subcontracts, including cost-reimbursable ones, timely.
• Coordinate pricing/proposal support and ensure timely awards within deadlines.
