Job summary

Serco is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator to join the Procurement team in a role that may be hybrid from our Herndon, Virginia headquarters or remote from anywhere in the U.S. You will lead negotiations, manage RFPS, and oversee complex subcontracts for federal services, ensuring compliance and timely awards.

The ideal candidate has US citizenship, a bachelor’s degree in business, 8+ years in federal contracting, and strong communication skills to coordinate with project teams and suppliers

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• Experience in US government procurement, preferably with a peer prime contractor supporting large labor subcontracts.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a federal contracting environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of FAR/DFAR and contract law.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Work effectively in a project team environment, ensuring schedules for pricing/proposal support and subcontract/purchase order awards are met.
• Provide effective subcontractor/supplier management ensuring compliance with negotiated price, terms, and delivery schedule.
• Effectively manage multiple simultaneous and rapidly changing priorities, and meet agreed-upon schedules.
• Proven problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Work with the project team to meet pricing/proposal support and subcontract/PO award timelines.
• Develop RFPS for federal services and products of medium to high complexity.
• Lead negotiations with subcontractors on price, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Award high-complexity subcontracts and document actions per compliance standards.
• Provide subcontractor management ensuring compliance with price/terms/delivery.
• Close out subcontracts, including cost-reimbursable ones, timely.
