Acquisition Specialist – Serco Group

Location: Herndon, VA • Employment Type: Full time • Salary: $221,242 a year.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and assess their capabilities and qualifications.
• Manage vendor relationships, monitoring performance, addressing issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor communications.
• Provide guidance and assistance to stakeholders throughout the procurement process, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in procurement and supply-chain management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management, Certified Federal Contracts Manager) are a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement, contracting, or acquisition management, ideally in a government contracting environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and procurement strategies.
