Job summary

ABB Inc. seeks a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer to develop technical and commercial proposals for ABB Electrification's focused segments, working with SAMs to drive ITO functions for high-probability, high-profit projects.

The role is remote within the United States, reporting to Sales Support Manager, contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division. You will leverage ABB's portfolio and engage with EPCs, data centers, and industrial end users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (ACU) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in electrical distribution; at least 5 years in sales and project quotations.
• Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and ABB empower.
• Experience with EPC/industrial or data center projects with multiple work packages.
• Experience collaborating with global and local cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Ability to travel up to 2–3 times a year.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SAMs and Strategic Customers to understand CTQ factors for growth.
• Organize and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to innovative solutions leveraging ABB's product portfolio to reduce costs and increase profitability.
• Evaluate project risk triggers and coordinate with risk management when needed.
