Job summary

ABB is seeking a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer to develop technical and commercial proposals for ABB Electrification's focused industry segments in the United States. The role supports the ITO function with SAMs to drive high-profit, high-probability projects and requires deep technical knowledge of ABB's electrical distribution offerings.

This is a remote position with candidates located anywhere in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in electrical distribution or related industry; 5+ years in sales and project quotations.
• Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and design characteristics.
• Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SAMs and strategic customers to understand CTQ factors for growth.
• Organize and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to innovative solutions leveraging ABB's product portfolio and propose cost-saving options.
• Evaluate project risk triggers and coordinate with leadership and risk manager.
