Job summary

SonderMind is hiring an Account Manager, Health Plans to grow key payor relationships and drive value for members. You will partner with Payor Strategy and Contracts, translating clinical outcomes and utilization data into compelling narratives for renewals and expansions.

The role demands executive presence, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate across multiple payer accounts with remote flexibility and periodic in-person meetings. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related degree.
• Minimum five years in strategic account management, partner growth, or payor-facing relationship management.
• Knowledge of managed care and payor landscape, including value-based programs, risk arrangements, and case rates.
• Strong analytical and storytelling skills to turn data into a value narrative.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of payor partners and lead executive reviews.
• Build and deliver ROI stories using outcomes, access, cost savings, and utilization data.
• Grow accounts beyond initial contracts: new geographies, lines of business, products, and programs.
• Drive member utilization by partnering on engagement, referrals, and co-marketing with payors.
• Collaborate with Payor Contracting on renewals, expansions, and strategy insights.
• Work cross-functionally with Revenue Cycle, credentialing, compliance, legal, finance, and operations.
