Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field
• 8+ years of technical presales experience in storage, including 3+ years leading presales or technical teams
• Proven track record of building high-performing teams and growing pipeline and revenue across direct and partner sales models
• Experience supporting multiple customer segments (commercial, public sector, channel)
• Strong technical background in enterprise storage and data management (block, file, backup, ransomware protection, hybrid cloud)
• Working knowledge of virtualization (VMware or KVM), major app stacks, and at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Deep competitive knowledge of storage market and major vendors

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of presales engineers and technical architects across segments
• Hire, onboard and retain top technical talent and build development plans and career growth
• Set team goals aligned with storage objectives and measure performance
• Align engineer coverage to accounts, partners and territories for pipeline growth
• Partner with sales to generate and progress storage opportunities
• Guide solution design, POCs and competitive strategy for strategic deals
• Build executive and technical relationships with customers and act as escalation point
• Drive installed-base expansion through new technology adoption and upgrades
• Maintain accurate pipeline data and move opportunities toward close
• Drive engagement with channel partners to position, demo and design storage solutions
