Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Presales Manager for the Northeast. This remote/teleworker role leads storage presales engineers across commercial, public sector and channel segments, driving pipeline, customer success and partner enablement.

You will coach and develop a high-performing team, set strategic goals, and collaborate with sales, product and services to win strategic deals while maintaining strong executive relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of technical presales in storage, including 3+ years leading or managing presales/technical teams.
• Proven track record of building high-performing teams and growing pipeline and revenue across direct and partner sales models.
• Experience supporting multiple customer segments: commercial, public sector or channel.
• Strong technical background in enterprise storage and data management; virtualization and cloud knowledge.
• Understanding go-to-market motions across segments and CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of presales engineers and technical architects across segments.
• Hire, onboard and retain top technical talent with clear development plans and career growth.
• Set team goals aligned with storage objectives and measure performance.
• Align engineer coverage to accounts, partners and territories for maximum impact.
• Partner with segment sales to generate and progress storage opportunities.
• Guide on solution design, proofs of concept and competitive strategy for complex deals.
• Build executive and technical relationships with customers and act as escalation point.
• Drive installed-base expansion through technology adoption and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate pipeline data and move opportunities toward close.
• Drive technical engagement with channel partners for positioning and design of storage solutions.
• Represent HPE at customer, partner and industry events and briefings.
• Report on activity and pipeline influence to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, solution, services teams to incorporate feedback.
• Ensure smooth transitions from sale to implementation across teams.
