Job summary

Pitney Bowes is seeking a remote-based State & Local Government Account Specialist to maintain client relationships and support needs with high accuracy. You will handle AR receivables, data cleansing, and collaborate with Sales to address client requirements in a fast-paced government team.

You will manage invoicing, portal billing, and contract reviews while prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. This role involves handling sensitive financial data and supports automation and self-serve

Qualifications

• 2+ years of client service experience.
• Prior account management, contract management, and/or billing reconciliation a plus.
• Proven time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent professional written and oral communication skills.
• Strong MS Office experience including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as an account expert and point of contact for Pitney Bowes’ large State & Local clients.
• Prepare and submit accurate invoices in a timely manner.
• Manage portal billing activities and adhere to client portal requirements.
• Perform account maintenance and data cleansing to ensure accurate client information.
• Make informed decisions in line with company policies and procedures.
• Manage administrative account cleansing activities including PO and contract review, payment application/reconciliation, fleet data management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal units to deliver exceptional client support.
• Consistently meet performance standards, KPI and productivity metrics.
• Prioritize daily workload to meet service-level deadlines.
• Collect past due accounts within the State & Local Government portfolio.
• Support growth initiatives including automation, digital acceleration, and self-serve.
• Serve as SME for contract review and client onboarding.
• Act as primary escalation point for client issues and provide ad hoc support to Government team.
