Job summary
Thomson Reuters is seeking a Senior State Government Sales Specialist to own a defined territory and drive outbound sales into state agencies and executive offices. You will leverage Thomson Reuters CLEAR and other cloud solutions to accelerate procurement and improve operations.
The role is remote within the US, with substantial travel for state meetings and industry events. A strong track record in quota-carrying sales and familiarity with state procurement cycles is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in a quota-carrying sales role with a track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
- Familiarity with state government structures and procurement processes.
Responsibilities
- Own and exceed territory quota and sales targets, with 100%+ YTD performance.
- Drive outbound prospecting to state agencies and executive offices to generate pipeline.
- Collaborate with Account Executives on state-level pursuits and close deals where appropriate.
- Build trusted relationships with state agencies and departments to align Thomson Reuters solutions with needs.
- Log activities and updates in Salesforce and share market intelligence with the team.
