Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations. You will prepare monthly journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with internal and external audits under the Accounting Manager.

The ideal candidate has a BA in Accounting or Finance with 1–3 years of general accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP/GL systems. This is a remote role open to eligible U.S. states.

Qualifications

• BA in Accounting or Finance required or related field.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience; month-end close and reconciliations preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced functions and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals, prepaid amortization, reclassifications, and recurring entries.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations (cash, prepaid, accrued liabilities, etc.).
• Assist with internal and external audits; compile schedules and documentation.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and reconciliations.
• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate posting errors.
• Assist in monthly financial reporting schedules and variance analysis.
• Support ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager.
