Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with internal and external audits, reporting to the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities include maintaining audit-ready workpapers, analyzing ledger activity, and contributing to monthly financial reporting and variance analysis. This remote role is open to qualified US-state applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years general accounting experience; month-end close and reconciliation experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
• Experience with an ERP or general ledger system; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and recurring entries.
• Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and assist with audits.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and documentation.
• Analyze general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in monthly financial reporting schedules and variance analysis.
• Support ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
