Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations. You will prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with internal and external audits.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 1–3 years of accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills. This remote position is open to candidates in eligible states, and discretion with confidential information is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, month-end close preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and financial controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
• Experience with ERP/general ledger systems; handle confidential data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, including accruals and prepaids.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations for various balance sheets.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and schedules.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready workpapers and files.
• Analyze general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in monthly financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Support ad hoc projects and process improvements as needed.
