Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with audits under the Accounting Manager's supervision.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 1–3 years of accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/general ledger systems. This is a remote position open to eligible U.S. states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience; month-end close and reconciliations preferred.
• New graduates with relevant internship experience considered.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
• Experience with an ERP or general ledger system; handle confidential information discreetly.

Responsabilités

• Prepare monthly journal entries (accruals, prepaid amortization, reclassifications, recurring/standard entries) with proper documentation.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations (cash, prepaid, accrued liabilities, others).
• Assist with internal/external audits by compiling schedules and reconciliations.
• Maintain organized audit-ready workpapers and reconcile files.
• Analyze general ledger activity for accuracy and investigate posting errors.
• Assist in monthly financial reporting schedules and variance analysis.
• Perform tasks per procedures and controls; suggest improvements to Accounting Manager.
• Support ad hoc projects and analyses as assigned.
