Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily and month-end accounting operations. You will prepare monthly journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with audits under the Accounting Manager's guidance.

This remote role is open to US candidates including Pennsylvania residents. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and 1–3 years of GAAP experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with an ERP system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience; internships considered.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
• Experience with ERP/GL system; handle confidential financial information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals, prepaid amortization, reclassifications, and recurring entries.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and assist with audits.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and reconciliations per policy.
• Analyze general ledger activity for accuracy; investigate posting errors.
• Assist in monthly financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Perform tasks per established procedures and suggest improvements.
• Support ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
