Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is hiring a Staff Accountant for remote work across eligible states. You will prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and assist with audits, contributing to accurate monthly closes and financial reporting.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will maintain organized workpapers, analyze GL activity, and support ad hoc analyses and process improvements in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience; internships considered.
• GAAP understanding.
• Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.
• Experience with an ERP or GL system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals, prepaid amortization, reclassifications, and recurring entries.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing schedules and documentation.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready workpapers and reconciliation files.
• Analyze general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness; investigate posting errors.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting schedules and variance analysis.
• Support ad hoc projects and process improvements.
