Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations. You will prepare journals, reconcile accounts, and assist auditors under the Accounting Manager.

This remote role is open to candidates in multiple states across the U.S. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in accounting/finance with 1–3 years of experience, GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience; month-end close preferred.
• GAAP knowledge and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals and reclassifications with proper documentation.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and assist with audits.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and reconcile files per policy.
• Analyze general ledger activity for accuracy and investigate posting errors.
• Assist in monthly financial reporting schedules and variance analysis.
• Perform tasks per procedures and contribute improvements to the Accounting Manager.
• Support ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
