Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with audits under the Accounting Manager.

Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 1–3 years of general accounting, with GAAP knowledge and strong Excel skills. This is a remote role open to eligible US states, with standard benefits and an emphasis on accuracy and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience; month-end close and reconciliation experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and strong Excel skills (formulas, pivots, lookups).
• Experience with ERP/general ledger systems; ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals and reallocations with proper documentation.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and assist during audits.
• Maintain organized audit-ready workpapers and reconcile files per policy.
• Analyze general ledger activity for accuracy and assist in correcting posting errors.
• Support monthly financial reporting schedules and variance analyses.
