Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations. You will prepare journal entries, complete reconciliations, and assist with audits under the Accounting Manager's guidance to ensure accurate general ledger activity and timely closes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 1–3 years of accounting experience. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP/GL systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of general accounting experience; internships counted.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Excel with pivot tables and lookups.
• Experience with an ERP or general ledger system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals, prepaid amortization, reclassifications, and recurring entries.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and assist with audits.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and reconciliation files.
• Analyze general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in monthly financial reporting schedules and variance analyses.
• Follow established procedures and internal controls; suggest improvements.
• Support ad hoc projects and analyses as assigned.
