Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role focuses on day-to-day accounting, journal entries, and month-end processes to support accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has an accounting or finance degree with 2-3 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and comfort with ERP systems like Sage Intacct. Excellent communication and analytical abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Preferred undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
• Experience with ERP system like Sage Intacct preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication (verbal and written)
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently on deliverables to achieve accurate results.
• Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and maintain communication regarding deliverables.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and others within the Company

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
