Job summary

RethinkFirst, a leader in behavioral and mental health technology, is hiring a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. This role reports to the Controller and handles day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, to support timely financial reporting.

Ideal candidates will have a preferred undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance and 2–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUP), and a commitment to GAAP and internal

Qualifications

• Preferred undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards
