Job summary

RethinkFirst seeks a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. You will handle day-to-day accounting, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close, helping ensure GAAP compliance and timely financial reporting.

This role requires an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance and 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and experience with Sage Intacct.

Qualifications

• Preferred undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (ability to create pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions)
• Experience with ERP system like Sage Intacct preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work independently on deliverables to achieve accurate results.
• Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and maintain excellent communication regarding deliverables.
• Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with members of the senior management team and others within the Company

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards
