RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role ensures GAAP-compliant accounting, supports month-end close, and maintains strong internal controls.

You will perform reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and collaborate with auditors in a remote-first environment. The ideal candidate has an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance and 2–3 years of experience, with advanced Excel and experience with Sage Intacct.

Qualifikationen

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance with 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with Sage Intacct ERP preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to interact with senior management.

Aufgaben

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist month-end close including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines for financial reporting.
• Support external auditors with requested documents.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
