Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a SQL Developer / Data Analyst for a 100% remote position supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project with the VA. The role focuses on SQL development, data analysis, reporting, and data quality monitoring across large clinical datasets using SQL Server, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience with advanced SQL queries, scripts, and data extraction in SQL Server.
• Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and data validation/integration.
• Proficiency in creating reports and dashboards using Power BI/Tableau/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries and transformation logic across large clinical datasets.
• Analyze healthcare data, identify trends, and develop reports/dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
• Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to evaluate data flows and data models for data warehousing initiatives.
• Establish data quality monitoring, validation routines, and reconciliation reports throughout migration and modernization efforts.
• Support recurring reporting deliverables and validate AI-assisted SQL optimization tools and outputs.
