Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a SQL Development / Data Analysis Team Lead for a 100% remote role supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. You will lead a team responsible for SQL development, clinical data analysis, reporting, and data quality monitoring in support of EHR modernization initiatives for the VA.

In a remote Agile environment, you will mentor teammates, establish coding standards, oversee data validation, coordinate data reviews, and communicate complex findings

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience.
• Extensive experience developing, reviewing, and optimizing SQL queries and data transformations in SQL Server.
• Experience leading SQL development, data analysis, or data engineering teams.
• Experience analyzing healthcare datasets with HL7, FHIR, or VistA and data migration.
• Strong reporting skills with Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of SQL developers and data analysts.
• Provide hands-on leadership in developing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Oversee healthcare data analysis, integration, and migration activities.
• Direct data quality monitoring and issue resolution with QA teams.
• Serve as primary technical contact for VA stakeholders and review reports.
• Establish documentation and development practices, including data dictionaries and runbooks.
• Take on additional tasks to support project success.
