Job summary

VetsEZ in the United States is seeking a SQL Developer / Data Analyst for a 100% remote role supporting a large federal healthcare modernization project. The role requires developing SQL queries, performing data analysis, creating BI reports, and monitoring data quality across healthcare datasets using SQL Server, Power BI, and related tools.

You will work in a remote, multidisciplinary Agile team with stakeholders across government programs, delivering validation, migration, and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a technical field, or eight years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience developing advanced SQL queries and data extraction processes.
• Experience with healthcare data or clinical datasets and data validation.
• Ability to build reports and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries and data transformation logic across large healthcare datasets in SQL Server.
• Analyze healthcare data, identify trends and anomalies, and develop BI reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map data flows and support data warehouse initiatives.
• Maintain data quality monitoring, validation routines, and reconciliation reports.
• Document findings, data dictionaries, and technical runbooks; support data migration efforts.
• Support recurring reporting deliverables and evaluate AI-assisted tools for SQL optimization and validation.
• Take on additional tasks to support project objectives.
