Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a SQL Developer / Data Analyst for a 100% remote role supporting a large federal healthcare modernization program with the VA. You will develop SQL queries, analyze data, and build BI reports using SQL Server and Power BI across extensive clinical datasets.

Working in a remote Agile team with developers, data engineers, QA, and federal stakeholders, you will ensure data quality, support data migration, and document mappings and runbooks while upholding PHI/PII protections.

Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or related field or eight years of equivalent experience.
Five+ years of professional experience with SQL Server and data analysis.
Experience with healthcare data standards and data validation.
Proficient in creating reports and dashboards (Power BI/Tableau).
Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize advanced SQL queries and ETL logic for large clinical datasets.
Analyze healthcare data, identify trends, and create BI dashboards and reports.
Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders on data models and data flows.
Develop data quality monitoring, validation, and reconciliation reports.
Document findings, data dictionaries, and runbooks; ensure data security.
