Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a SQL Developer / Data Analyst for a 100% remote role supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. You will develop SQL solutions, analyze healthcare data, build BI reports, and monitor data quality for EHR modernization initiatives within VA programs.

The role involves collaboration with an Agile team, data engineers, and stakeholders, focusing on data migration, validation, and BI reporting using SQL Server, Power BI, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or eight years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of professional experience in SQL development and data analysis.
• Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7/FHIR) is a plus.
• Strong SQL performance tuning and data extraction skills.
• Experience building BI reports and dashboards using Power BI/Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL queries and ETL processes.
• Analyze healthcare data from multiple systems to support reporting and analytics.
• Create dashboards and visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
• Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders on data models and mappings.
• Maintain data quality monitoring, validation routines, and runbooks.
• Assist with data migration, integration, and documentation.
