Kidde Global Solutions is seeking a Business Development Specialist – Specification Sales to cultivate relationships with electrical engineers, fire protection consultants, design teams, and contractors. You will drive inclusion of Kidde Commercial fire alarm systems in project specifications and guide partners through the early design phases.

The role blends technical know‑how with strategic outreach, requiring field visits, product demonstrations, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience in the fire alarm, low‑voltage, or life‑safety systems industry.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineering and construction partners (FMs, GCs, ECs).
• Target non‑specified projects and influence product preference early in design.
• Promote Kidde Commercial fire alarm products through demos, lunch‑and‑learns, and code‑driven discussions.
• Influence project specifications to include Kidde Commercial systems in new and retrofit projects.
• Provide technical guidance during design phases and connect engineering teams with dealers.
• Represent Kidde Commercial at industry events to expand visibility and relationships.
• Execute travel (approximately 75%) within the assigned region.
