Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions is seeking a Business Development Specialist - Specification Sales to build consultative relationships with electrical engineers, fire protection consultants, design firms, general contractors, and electrical contractors. You will help ensure Kidde Commercial fire alarm systems are written into project specifications and preferred on non-specified projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ~5+ years of sales experience in the fire alarm, low-voltage, or life-safety systems industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Full understanding of IBC, NEC, NFPA, and general fire alarm codes.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering workflows and overall construction processes.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with field-based work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineering and construction partners.
• Target non-specified projects with GCs and ECs to influence adoption.
• Promote Kidde Commercial fire alarm products and technologies through demos and discussions.
• Influence project specifications to include Kidde Commercial systems.
• Provide technical guidance during design phases with engineers and specifiers.
