Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions seeks a Business Development Specialist - Specification Sales to build consultative relationships with engineers, consultants, GCs, and ECs. Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience in fire alarm, low-voltage, or life-safety systems industry is required.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with field-based work.
• Strong understanding of IBC, NEC, NFPA and general fire alarm codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineering and construction partners (GCs, ECs, electrical engineers, and consultants).
• Proactively engage GC/EC on non-specified projects to influence product selection.
• Deliver demonstrations, lunch-and-learns, and code-driven discussions to highlight Kidde Commercial capabilities.
• Influence project specifications to include Kidde Commercial systems in new construction and retrofit projects.
• Provide technical guidance during design phases and support with system layouts and code questions.
• Collaborate with internal sales and distribution teams to ensure smooth handoffs to quoting and fulfillment.
• Represent Kidde Commercial at industry events to expand brand visibility.
