Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative to connect with medical professionals, promote products, and navigate payer environments in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role emphasizes clinical product knowledge, sales targets, and cross-functional collaboration, with flexible remote/hybrid work where possible.

Candidates with life sciences or business backgrounds and relevant sales experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience.
• Preferred Qualifications include pharma/biotech sales experience and knowledge of oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, and related areas.
• Flexible work models including remote and hybrid arrangements where possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
• Deliver branded sales messages and conduct programs to achieve or exceed sales targets in the territory.
• Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, ensure product access, and resolve reimbursement issues.
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow in the role.
• Maintain passion for products across the sales cycle and uphold Amgen values.
