Job summary

Amgen seeks Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative to serve clinicians in the San Francisco Bay Area by providing clinical knowledge of Amgen’s products and helping them navigate the payer environment.

You will promote Amgen products, implement marketing strategy, build accounts, and achieve sales targets through both in‑person and virtual engagements, while collaborating with a District Manager and cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree OR
• Associate’s degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR
• High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen’s products and effectively communicate the clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization of the products
• Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following‑up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through both in‑person and virtual engagement
• Develop relationships to service and manage accounts including customizing discussions, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager
• Partner with other colleagues to share best practices and learn and grow as a Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative
• Demonstrate passion for our products and sustain that passion through the entire sales cycle while building Amgen’s brand and serving patients
