Job summary

Lumicera Health Services is hiring an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and ensure complete patient information in their records. The role involves contacting patients and providers via phone or fax, translating prescription details, and assisting with prior authorizations under supervision.

The position supports Pharmacy operations with adherence to compliance standards and works across teams to ensure accurate dispensing information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some college preferred.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure required per employee’s residing state’s requirements.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Hours of operation are 8am to 7pm Monday thru Thursday and 8am to 6pm on Friday.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Place phone calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services which may include patient care management, copay assistance programs, and billing information.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information.
• Manage the assigned workflow queues.
• Document information and prescription order setup accurately and thoroughly.
• Comply with all applicable federal and state laws and maintain high ethical standards.
