Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Specialist to support network and communications pre-commissioning and commissioning for utility-scale solar, storage, and substations. The role is fully remote with regular travel to job sites across the United States.

You will lead tests, coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA to ensure SEN devices communicate properly, adhere to NFPA/NEC and IEEE standards, and deliver detailed commissioning reports and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commissioning utility-scale solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; ability to interpret drawings.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement site commissioning plans to meet schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA, SCADA on commissioning activities.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests, including performance and reliability tests.
• Ensure compliance with safety, NFPA/NEC, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports and track corrective actions.
• Support Safety Tagging and Lockout/Tagout programs.
• Travel to multiple job sites as required.
