Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) to lead testing of mission-critical healthcare applications in a MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environment. This remote role supports Veterans Affairs and requires experience in regulated healthcare settings.

The ideal candidate will develop test plans, execute tests across functional, integration, and UAT, validate data integrity, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance in healthcare interoperability

Qualifications

Experience testing legacy healthcare systems and mission-critical applications.
Experience validating EDI transactions and healthcare data interoperability.
Ability to design test plans, test cases, and test scripts for MUMPS/Cache environments.
Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
Experience working in regulated healthcare/government environments.

Responsibilities

Support testing and QA for mission-critical healthcare applications in MUMPS/Cache.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts.
Validate software enhancements, maintenance releases, and system upgrades.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
Verify data integrity across legacy healthcare applications and interfaces.
Test HL7, FHIR, and EDI transactions.
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and end users to validate requirements.
Provide testing metrics and status reports.
Lead testing efforts and mentor junior testers.
