Syms Strategic Group, LLC seeks a Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) to lead testing efforts for mission-critical healthcare systems in a remote role.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with MUMPS/InterSystems Cache, healthcare interoperability standards, and comprehensive test planning across SDLC, with a track record mentoring junior testers and delivering quality assurance in government or regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Experience testing healthcare or government/regulatory environments.
• Proven ability to design detailed test plans and cases.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Experience with MUMPS and InterSystems Cache
• Proven track record mentoring junior testers.

Responsibilities

• Lead test planning, design, and execution for MUMPS/Cache healthcare apps.
• Develop test data, environments, and automated/manual tests.
• Coordinate testing with developers, BA, and end users.
• Validate HL7, FHIR, HIPAA EDI transactions and data integrity.
• Track defects, metrics, risks, and status reports.
• Support root cause analysis and verification of fixes.
• Mentor junior testers and contribute to testing process improvements.
