Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) to lead testing for mission-critical healthcare applications in a remote setting. You will design test strategies, oversee plans, and mentor junior testers across HL7/FHIR interfaces.

The role requires deep expertise in MUMPS/InterSystems Cache, regulatory environments, and end-to-end testing across VistA/FileMan workflows. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience testing healthcare, government, or other regulated environments.
• Experience testing applications developed with MUMPS/InterSystems Cache.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA EDI transactions.
• Experience leading testing efforts and mentoring junior testers.
• Familiarity with VistA/FileMan is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support testing for mission-critical healthcare applications in MUMPS/Cache.
• Develop and execute detailed test plans, cases, and scripts.
• Validate data integrity across legacy systems and interfaces.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and end users on test objectives.
• Track defects, report metrics, and participate in beta testing.
