Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) to lead testing activities for mission-critical healthcare applications in a MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environment. This 100% remote role supports Veterans Affairs, requiring U.S.

Citizenship and Public Trust clearance. You will develop test plans, automate where applicable, validate HL7/FHIR transactions, and mentor junior testers while coordinating with developers and business users.

Qualifications

• Experience testing enterprise healthcare applications in regulated environments.
• Experience testing applications developed with MUMPS and InterSystems Cache.
• Experience developing detailed test plans, scenarios, scripts, and cases.
• Strong knowledge of HL7, FHIR, HIPAA EDI transactions and related standards.
• Ability to analyze logs, defects, and perform root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for MUMPS/Cache apps.
• Coordinate functional, integration, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing activities.
• Validate data integrity across legacy healthcare systems and interfaces.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and end users to validate requirements.
• Support testing of HL7, FHIR, EDI transactions and interoperability.
• Lead testing efforts and mentor junior testers.
