Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) to lead QA for mission-critical healthcare systems. This remote role supports Veterans Affairs (VA) programs, focusing on MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environments, HL7/FHIR interoperability, and data integrity across legacy systems.

The position requires extensive testing expertise, SDLC knowledge, and the ability to mentor junior testers while collaborating with cross-functional teams. U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare/government or regulated environments.
• Experience testing enterprise healthcare applications.
• Experience with MUMPS and InterSystems Cache.
• Develop detailed test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and test cases.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, HIPAA EDI transactions.
• Experience with SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support testing and QA for healthcare applications in MUMPS/Cache environments.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Validate software changes and system upgrades.
• Coordinate Beta/IOC testing with facilities and end users.
• Track defects, metrics, and testing status.
• Ensure data integrity across legacy systems.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, POs, and users.
• Lead testing efforts and mentor junior testers.
