Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) to lead QA for mission-critical healthcare applications in a MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environment. This 100% remote role supports Veterans Affairs (VA) with a focus on data integrity, HL7/FHIR standards, and end-to-end testing across legacy systems.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software testing, deep experience with MUMPS/Cache, and proven leadership in testing strategies for healthcare/government systems. U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, government, or regulated environments.
• Experience testing enterprise applications in healthcare/clinical operations.
• Experience supporting legacy healthcare systems and MUMPS/InterSystems Cache.
• Experience validating HL7, FHIR, HIPAA EDI transactions.
• Strong testing lifecycle, including test plans, cases, scripts, and data.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.

Responsibilities

• Support testing and QA activities for mission-critical healthcare apps in MUMPS/Cache.
• Develop and execute test plans, cases, scripts, and procedures.
• Validate enhancements, releases, defects, and upgrades.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, product owners, and end users to validate requirements.
