Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Software Testing Principal (MUMPS) to lead testing for mission-critical healthcare applications in a MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environment.

The role requires extensive experience across functional, integration, and UAT testing, with a focus on data integrity and healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR. This is a 100% remote U.S. based position with opportunities to mentor junior testers.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare/government/regulated environments.
• Experience with MUMPS/InterSystems Cache testing.
• Familiarity with SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Experience creating detailed test plans and cases.
• Experience performing functional, integration and UAT testing.

Responsibilities

• Support testing for healthcare applications in MUMPS/Cache environments.
• Develop and execute test plans, cases, scripts, and procedures.
• Validate software changes, upgrades, and defect fixes.
• Coordinate functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
• Ensure data integrity across legacy healthcare systems.
• Test HL7, FHIR, EDI transactions and healthcare interfaces.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and end users on test objectives.
