Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Sleep Coach to guide patients through their CPAP therapy remotely, providing education, coaching, and support during the first year of treatment. You will leverage usage data and counseling techniques to help patients achieve better adherence and understand insurance requirements, equipment care, and resupply needs.

The role emphasizes independent, proactive communication with patients while staying connected with a collaborative team across the nationwide network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with patients diagnosed with OSA is preferred.
• Experience working with various insurance plans, including HMO, PPO, and Medicare, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively reach out to and respond to patients during their first full year of CPAP therapy.
• Conduct inbound and outbound calls to coach, educate, and encourage patients as they adjust to CPAP therapy.
• Help patients identify barriers to using their therapy consistently and provide practical tools and strategies to overcome them.
• Review patient usage information through manufacturer software and use that information to guide meaningful, data-driven conversations.
• Use knowledge of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) to help patients understand their therapy and the potential benefits of consistent use.
• Provide basic troubleshooting support for PAP and mask equipment and help patients understand how to use their equipment properly.
