Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Site Contract Specialist/Contract Manager for a remote U.S.-based role. You will independently manage CTAs, site budget negotiations, and contract lifecycles, working across sponsor relationships and trial startups to ensure timely site activations.

You will leverage strong negotiation, communication, and project management skills to ensure adherence to ICH-GCP and trial timelines in Phase II–IV studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Health, Life Sciences, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience independently managing CTAs, CTA amendments, site budget negotiations, and contract lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of CTA drafting, templates, budget development, and start-up processes.
• Experience maintaining negotiation status and documentation in sponsor/internal systems.
• Understanding of Phase II-IV trials, ICH-GCP, and clinical development processes.
• Strong project management, organization, prioritization, and negotiation/communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review contract language and budgets for completeness and accuracy, and ensure corrections are made and documented.
• Maintain internal project trackers with accurate and timely information to support transparency.
• Leverage fallback language provided by sponsor legal to negotiate site contracting language.
• Negotiate Study budgets within approved parameters before escalation is required.
• Attend weekly internal and external progress meetings and provide updates and next steps.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure goals and priorities are aligned with contract execution dates and site activation timelines.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders throughout negotiations.
• Identify contractual or operational risks early and drive solutions.
• Prepare Contract and Budget Escalations as required.
• Draft and finalize documents for Studies-start up (templates, Start up plans, etc.).
• Lead the Kick-Off Meeting with the Study Team.
• Schedule other contract and budget prep and overview meetings.
• Prepare final contracts after negotiations.
• Participate in pilot and stretch projects as aligned with sponsor initiatives.
