Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Site Contract Specialist/Contract Manager (CM) for sponsor-dedicated and remote-U.S. operations. The role focuses on managing CTAs, amendments, site budgets, and full contract lifecycle with minimal oversight.

You will negotiate budgets, ensure compliance (ICH-GCP, Phase II-IV), and coordinate with stakeholders to drive site activation timelines. A strong background in contracts, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Health, Life Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience independently managing CTAs, CTA Amendments, site budget negotiations, and contract lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of CTA drafting, contract templates, negotiation strategies, and start-up processes.
• Experience maintaining negotiation status and documentation within sponsor/internal trial tracking systems.
• Excellent understanding of Phase II-IV clinical trials, ICH-GCP, and development processes.
• Strong project management, organization, prioritization, and negotiation/communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review contract language and budgets for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain internal project trackers with accurate and timely information to support transparency.
• Leverage fallback language provided by sponsor to negotiate site contracting language.
• Negotiate Study budgets within approved parameters before escalation.
• Attend weekly internal and external progress meetings and provide updates on active contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with primary stakeholders to ensure goals and priorities are aligned as it relates to contract execution date and site activation timelines.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout negotiating process.
• Identify contractual or operational risks early and proactively drive solutions.
• Prepares Contract and Budget Escalations as required.
• Draft and finalize documents for Studies-start up (templates, Start up plans, etc.).
• Lead Kick-Off Meeting with the Study Team.
• Schedule other contract and budget prep and overview meetings.
• Prepare final contracts after negotiations and escalations.
• Participate in pilot and stretch projects aligned with sponsor initiatives.
