Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Service Now Technical Lead for a full-time remote opportunity. Located in the US, you will provide hands-on technical leadership, architecture guidance, and delivery oversight for the ServiceNow platform.

You will mentor developers and admins, enforce standards, and translate complex requirements into roadmaps and user stories across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB/CSDM, CSDM, and HRSD. Expect collaboration with stakeholders and a strong focus on integration and upgrades.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow design, implementation and administration with at least 2+ years leading teams or projects.
• Core skills include JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Service Portal, App Engine, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Platform breadth includes ITSM, CMDB/CSDM, and multiple core modules such as ITOM, ITAM/HAM, CSM, SPM or SecOps.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, ITIL v4, and automated test frameworks (ATF).

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations, task planning, code reviews, and QA for a team of developers, sysadmins, and analysts.
• Enforce development standards, scoping, and release management to minimize technical debt.
• Mentor on script performance, Flow automation, and platform upgrades.
• Architect end-to-end IT service solutions leveraging OOTB functionality across ITSM, ITOM, HAM/SAM, CSDM/CMDB, CSM, HRSD.
• Design enterprise integrations using Integration Hub, REST/SOAP, and Mid Servers for external ecosystems.
• Establish CMDB class hierarchy rules, data reconciliation, and Discovery schedules.
• Translate business requirements into technical user stories, diagrams, and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Process Owners and IT Ops to prioritize backlog and guide sprint execution.
• Act as primary escalation point for production incidents and bug remediation.
