Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a ServiceNow Technical Lead for a full-time remote opportunity. The role provides hands-on technical leadership, architecture guidance, and delivery oversight for the ServiceNow platform across ITSM, CMDB/CSDM, ITOM, and related modules.

Responsibilities include leading a team of developers and admins, enforcing standards, shaping roadmaps, and mentoring on scripting, Flow Designer, and upgrades. Certifications and ITIL v4 are preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on ServiceNow design, implementation, and admin experience with at least 2+ years of leading teams or projects.
• Core Skills: JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Service Portal, App Engine, REST/SOAP APIs.
• Platform Breadth: ITSM, CMDB/CSDM, plus two additional modules (ITOM, ITAM/HAM, CSM, SPM, or SecOps).
• Methodologies: Agile/Scrum, ITIL v4, and ATF.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations, planning, code reviews, and QA for a team of developers, admins, and analysts.
• Enforce development standards, scoping, and release management to minimize debt and customization.
• Mentor team members on scripting, Flow Designer automation, and platform upgrades.
• Architect end-to-end solutions leveraging OOTB functionality across ITSM, CMDB/CSDM, ITOM, and other modules.
• Design integrations using Integration Hub, REST/SOAP Web Services, and Mid Servers.
• Establish and enforce CMDB class hierarchy, data reconciliation, discovery schedules, and CSDM lifecycle alignment.
• Translate business requirements into technical user stories, architecture diagrams, and release roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Process Owners, Enterprise Architects, and IT Operations to prioritize backlog and manage sprints.
• Serve as primary escalation point for production incidents and complex bug remediation.
