Job summary

WSP USA seeks an experienced Transmission Planning Engineer to join the Electrical Studies, SCADA, and Protection (ESSP) team. The role is based in Denver, CO, with consideration for fully remote candidates.

You will work with a team of transmission planners to deliver projects and provide high-quality technical documentation while leading and mentoring others. Preferred candidates have 7–10 years of experience in power system studies, familiarity with multiple software packages (PSS/E, PSLF,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• 7–10 years of direct experience in steady state contingency analysis and stability analysis of large power systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform or lead transmission planning studies including power flow, contingency, stability, and dynamic analyses.
• Prepare reports with study assumptions, findings and recommendations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development activities.
